Another season in the books! The 2025 Biathlon Nationals in Bozeman, Montana marked my fourth consecutive year at this event, and somehow it still found a way to surprise me.

For me, Nationals is never just about competition, it’s about community. Athletes from across the country (and Canada!) came together to close out the season. From catching up with old friends to swapping training stories with new ones, it reminded me why I love this sport.

We had the full range of Rocky Mountain weather. From sun, to wind, to snow, and everything in between. I even raced in shorts and a t-shirt for the first time! This year also featured something new: live-streamed races with commentary and drone footage. Watching those replays felt like a mini World Cup moment, and it meant the world to know family and friends could watch from home.

The races were a mental and physical challenge. I had my first clean shooting race of the season, followed by a tough one where I missed every target in a stage. But I bounced back on the final day, proving to myself how powerful focus and grit can be.

While my skiing wasn’t yet at the level I know I’m capable of, it only sharpened my resolve. I see clearly what I need to improve, and I have no doubt that I can close the gap. With the right training, I believe I have what it takes to be one of the top contenders for Team USA in the years ahead.

I left Nationals not just proud, but motivated. It reinforced my love for biathlon, the value of resilience, and how much I want to keep improving.

What’s Next: A Spring in the Arctic and a Summer in the Alps
Before diving back into training, I’ll be heading to Kivalina, Alaska, with Skiku, teaching Nordic skiing to kids in our rural Alaska community. It’s always one of my favorite experiences, combining sport, culture, and connection in a totally unique setting.

And then, something huge: I’ve been invited to train in Switzerland this summer with a team of high-level athletes and coaches! It’s a major step forward in my development as a biathlete. I will be training at altitude, gaining new skills, and preparing for the 2025–26 race season.

Big Milestone: Graduation!
On top of all that, I’m graduating from high school this spring. It’s a big moment and an exciting transition. I’ve been balancing school, international competition, and travel, and I’m proud to be stepping into this next phase with a clear focus and big dreams.

How You Can Help: Support My Summer Training in Switzerland
I’ve launched a new GoFundMe campaign to help cover the costs of this summer’s training in Switzerland, including flights, lodging, coaching, and range time.
If you’ve followed my journey, supported me in any way, or just believe in helping young athletes chase their goals, I’d be so grateful for your support.
Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference, and even sharing the link helps more than you know. Thank you for being part of my journey. I can’t wait to take everything I’ve learned into this next chapter.
