We are getting settled into our current time zone. Some of us are having trouble sleeping past 7:00, and some are lucky to get a couple more hours than that!

I’ve had the chance to try a traditional dish almost every meal. Some I’ve liked more than others but they have all been fun to try. We had pirogies the first night and since then we’ve had a range of choices including cabbage rolls, Sicilian noodles, polish sausage, and traditional pork chops. I decided not to try the chicken stuffed with liver, but it was tempting.

Tonight we also had a “fancy” chicken strips option.

We went out on a mission to find a few sport drinks for the 12.5k race tomorrow. Everything in Poland is a quarter of the price back home. We had fun exploring a few stores and ended up buying three bottles of juice for just $1.00 this evening.

I’ve been able to pick out only one polish word so far: Przepraszam (pronounced shi-pre-sham) excuse me/sorry. This is the easiest for me to remember.
We got our accreditations which the athletes need to enter the range. We have also been given athlete bibs to wear during training.

We got race prepped and ready on the range today! This will be the longest biathlon race that I will have competed in and I’m very excited! The chance for rain during the girls race tomorrow is pretty much definite! We are all crossing our fingers for snow!

Thank you Aunt Jane, I’m so happy that I’m here. The food is great! Definitely some meals have acquired tastes! I skipped out on the chicken liver tonight.
How exciting Haley!! I’ll keep my fingers crossed that it is snow not rain but the pictures are wonderful. Good luck and have a wonderful time experiencing everything.
Thank you! Thanks for crossing your fingers, it seems to have worked some magic today!!
